| PROLIFIC MARKSMAN CAMMY MOVES TO FORMARTINE UTD Last weekend saw what surely will be the biggest transfer in the Highland League this summer when Keith FC captain and centre forward Cammy Keith signed a three year deal with Steve Paterson's Formartine Utd writes Charlie Simpson. The 25 year old hotshot had been a subject of an approach early last season, but this was turned down. The Pitmedden Club made a renewed offer recently and Keith FC finally accepted an increased bid last week. The Newmachar based striker will be sorely missed at Kynoch Park, where he carved out a niche as one of the deadliest, if not the deadliest goalsnatcher in North football over the last three of four seasons. It is perhaps appropriate that in one of his final appearances last season, he skippered the Maroons to a tenth Highland League Cup triumph, defeating Inverurie Locos at Banff, the No:9 grabbing the winning goal from the penalty spot. The likeable player came through the Keith youth ranks and went on to blaze a trail, hauling in an absolute plethora of records with frightening monotony. He first made a first team appearance on 4 September 2004, replacing Darren Still in a 4-1 defeat at Huntly. He marked his full debut with a 6-1 win at Lossiemouth on 26 November 2005. He first bulged the old onion bag coming on as a substitute in a 5-0 win against Brora Rangers on 29 October 2005. From that innocuous first goal, the powerful centre forward went on to blast home an astonishing 182 goals in 222 competitive games. His scoring ratio saw him net in 114 of those 222 matches, a truly frightening consistency. His goal tally places him second on the all time Keith charts, behind 200 goal Derek Nicol. In recent times he began to break, and set a hatful of Keith FC records: More hat-tricks than anybody in the Club's history - 10 - plus one five goal haul and three four goal tallies. First Keith player to grab over thirty goals in three separate seasons, as well as three successive seasons. More penalty goals than anybody else - 28. Team honours came his way in the shape of one League championship, two Highland League Cups, grabbing a hat-trick in his first Final, and a single in the second, an Aberdeenshire Cup, and two District Shields. Personal honours came his way in the shape of four Keith FC Supporters Player of the Year trophies, including the last three, one Players Player of the Year, two Young Player of the year including one shared, and Club top scorer in five different seasons including the last four. He was also the Highland League's top scorer three times and League Player of the twice. His talents were also recognised outside Kynoch Park, and the striker who had a trial at Nottingham Forest as a 16 year old, took a couple of years out to do a soccer scholarship in the United States. He was also selected to play for the Scottish semi-professional team. Through all his record breaking, and trophy winning bonanaza, Cammy has remained the same likeable, approachable person he has always been, and it goes without saying that all connected with Keith FC surely wish him well in his search of fresh honours . |

| CAMMY FIRES MAROONS INTO THIRD ROUND WICK ACADEMY 0 KEITH 1
|
| Cammy Keith extinguished Wick's hopes, making them pay the penalty with a spot-kick that fired the Maroons into the Scottish Cup third round at a very windy Harmsworth Park last Saturday reports Charlie Simpson.
This was Keith's ninth Scottish Cup tie away from home in five years, and hopefully by the time you read this, Wednesday's draw will have thrown them a home tie.
This most certainly was not a game for the purists, with the windswept conditions dictating otherwise, but all credit to Darren Still's men, they got the vital goal, and defended stoutly in the second half to more than earn the victory.

| MAROONS IN DEADLOCK WITH COVE KEITH 1 COVE RANGERS 1
|
| Keith bounced back from the disappointment of their defeat at Formartine the previous week, to earn a deserved share of the spoils against high flying Cove Rangers at Kynoch Park last Saturday reports Charlie Simpson.
The Maroons had a host of former Keith stars attending the match, they were invited guests at the Club's centenary dinner being held later in the evening at the Longmore Hall. Legends of the past like hot shot Keith Rattray, John Curran, Mike Dalgarno, Lewis Duncan, Ron "Podgie" Main and Stevie Abel all winners in their day, witnessed the current side battle throughout against a team tipped to be in at the death for the league title come next May.
